I'm an old DM going back to 1st Ed D&D (Advanced Dungeons and Dragons) back in '79, when almost everything was written by Gary Gygax
I can't believe that I live only a half hour from Troll Lord Games in Little Rock and haven't heard of it before this year.
I was getting tired of constantly looking up feats and special rules, and was considering stripping all of that out of our game, when one of our players mentioned that he had just heard about Castles and Crusades and it looked like a more basic and easier system, like the old-school game we all played in the 70s and 80s.
My group just converted from D&D 3.5 to C&C, so we started playing this system with level 9 PCs. I would have preferred starting fresh, but they understandably were very fond of their charactors, so I gave in. The conversion was relatively easy, and we have enjoyed the C&C system.
So, I'm happy to be here, and hope to learn and share with everyone.
