GaryCon
Another call to arms! We need game runners for C&C as well as Amazing Adventures for GaryCon in March, 2018 at Lake Geneva, WI. Who's going? Who can run games? GaryCon, if you have never been, is usually the con where the most Trolls show up, this year, Steve, Tim, Tyler and Jason are a go, and probably Davis. It's a great time, celebrating the life and games of Gary Gygax, but is by no means limited to D&D. We always have a great showing of gamers for C&C and AA and we'd love to see you there, and even to run some games!
Great convention, and I'll certainly (88% chance) be there. But perhaps this year, I'll be limited to off-grid C&C games. It's just kinda my thing. I put the word out to a few people who usually attend with me, so we'll see what happens!

I will be attending this year. It will be my first year and uncertain what all I will want to be doing.
I plan to attend and run a couple of C&C sessions.
My badge is paid for and now I'm doing some adventure planning. I've decided to do something different this time around by running Castles & Crusades. All past convention games I ran were AD&D. I'll most likely run on-grid sessions Thursday and Friday to free up Saturday for me to play... or maybe run the game again off-grid Saturday depending on what I can / can't get into if enough interest is present.
Things Best Forgotten
Thursday & Friday 10AM - 2PM
Your party destroyed a cult operating near the Village of Hommlet. Among the treasures taken from the cult leader, Lareth the Beautiful, was an ancient map noting a location in the midst of the Hool Marshes where no settlement is known to exist. Why was this area important to the dead cult leader? Intent on solving the mystery, your party journeyed to the location on the map... What could possibly go wrong?
Things Best Forgotten is a Castles & Crusades adventure for 4th level characters set in the World of Greyhawk. Characters built using the 7th printing of the Players Handbook will be provided. Participants should bring a copy of the Players Handbook.
Hope to see some you fine folks at one of my tables in just over a month! Safe travels to all attending.
Yet again, real life interferes and I will not be able to attend. I have been trying to go for the last 3 years but have never made it.. I hear there is lots of C&C at this con, unlike my last couple of times at GenCon (2012-2013) where there were very little and then a couple games were cancelled because of lack of players.
Have a great time tell us all about your C&C games and I will start planning to go in 2019... sigh...

I am there, playing in Stephen's game on Friday night. I have a game I could run if there is a slot that need filling.
One seat remains for my Friday game at GCX if anyone is still looking to participate in some C&C goodness.
Speaking of the amount of C&C at GaryCon, in 2017 I played in 3 C&C games while there. At GenCon, the most I ever got into was 2 during the convention. GaryCon is smaller, with more C&C and better chances to play. What can be better than that?
To crush your enemies. To see them driven before you. And to hear the lamentations of the women.
Heh.
Had a great convention this year. Thanks to everyone who came out for the four sessions of Dangerous Journey I ran there this year!! Lots of great groups, and new people introduced to C&C! Thanks Tim and Steve for the opportunity to represent.
Nice! It sounds like Garycon put everyone else to shame as far as representing C & C.
GaryCon definitely represented C&C this year at GCX. I played in 4 C&C games, each with a different CK. Great experience. Ancalagon was the CK of the first C&C game I played and really set the stage for the rest of the weekend.
Very kind of you to say, Omote. I definitely enjoyed having you at the table for my first ever C&C event at a convention! C&C was so much fun to run that I'm already in the planning phase for the event I plan to run at GCXI in 2019.....
So for GaryCon X, instead of running C&C games, did my crazy DM thing for the AD&D Open Harbinger and was voted best DM. Next year for Gary Con XI. I'm leaning towards writing, coordinating and GMing another C&C tourney (like I did for GaryCon VIII). Hoping to see yall there. :)
Congrats on the "Best DM"
Thanks! Look me up at Gary Con XI. I'll make an extra seat for you if you want to join in the fun. :)
