Play by Post?
Just curious, before I invest in the PHB, does anyone play via play by post or even play by email? Due to my time - that is the only way that is practical for me - thanks!
I think there are a few people that are doing that. I'll ask around but if anyone that is playing that way can let thawizkid know, I'd appreciate it.
I've played with the idea of doing something like this but I need to get a couple other projects I have in progress off my plate first. With Skype, Roll20, FantasyGrounds, and such out there not a lot of folks care to deal with a slower paced less interactive game.
Thanks for the help, if there is a game going I'll invest in the PHB. Btw - how different is this game then say AD&D 1 or 2e?
Has the old rules feel of 1st ed, the flexibility of 2nd ed, and a simpler and unified dice mechanic in the SIEGE engine making it extremely GM friendly and open ended. It's been able to survive a lot of house ruling by various folks and not even cracked from what has been inferred. Honestly, it has AD&D beat on cost, simplicity, flexibility, and overall play.
I have some players moving back to France.. not sure how that might work, but someone might be interested in starting up a game by post. Contact me at kirk_olsen@lord.com
I'm in a Play by Post CnC game over at RolePlay OnLine (Buttmonkey's game). Not too sure if there are any other CnC games that are looking for new players, but it might be worth a look.
I'm in an rpol.net C&C game right now as well. Maybe the same one as you Spade? Heroes of the Haunted Highlands? Granted the game play moves rather slowly, but it is also very easy to find time to play if you've a very busy schedule in real life.
No - I'm in the "Rotter" Campaign
Yeah, I certainly wouldn't mind playing (or running, but mostly playing for the moment) a C&C game PbP, especially now as I'm getting ready to go back to Over The Road Truck driving. Any suggestions?
